About this deal room
The people behind this site read what AI data buyers, brokers and data room providers publish about their deal terms, keep each page they quote, and reply to companies that write in.
The reason for this site
Once a data room opens, the buyer leads. Seeing each buyer's published terms first lets a company choose who is worth that access.
Who will find it useful
Founders, finance leads and general counsel at companies that have been approached for their data, or are considering a licence, and want terms on the table before due diligence starts.
Inside this site
Start with the quote form: it answers one question, "data room vs deal room", on the page, with no account needed. Next come 3 guides on nearby questions. Then the data (figures, and how they were made) and the sources, every one linked.
- Buyer data partnership terms: payout timing and exclusivity: AI buyers' data partnership terms from their own pages: payout timing from Grepped, Mercor and Nyne, exclusivity from licensemydata.com and FileYield.
- A pro deal data room and AI: what Datasite says about your files: Before uploading to a deal data room, read what the provider says about AI. Datasite says it and Blueflame AI do not use customer data to train AI models.
- Sell company data to AI: the records buyers name: Before you sell company data to AI buyers, see the records they and the brokers name on their own pages, from CRM and support tickets to SOPs, code and email threads.
Limits
- We never hold a company's files or run its data room.
- We never state a buyer's term beyond the words on its own page.
- We never recommend opening records with personal data in them before they are anonymised.

The cells on paying the seller and on the data quote a buyer's, broker's or data room's own page, and the exclusivity cell is our reading of its words; none pays to appear here, and nothing here is legal advice. The seller pays our published fee: 12.5% of a deal we close as its exclusive agent, with a minimum, or about 10% when its data goes into a bundle or the pool, set in writing before any buyer sees a file; a fee a buyer pays us is credited to the seller.
