Inside the data room

A pro deal data room and AI: what Datasite says about your files

Updated

A data room sees everything a seller uploads, so its own AI terms matter as much as the buyer's.

Set out my deal terms Tell us what data the company holds and what kind of deal it would accept. We read your answers against the published terms and reply with the buyers whose terms fit.

One provider's answer

Datasite's FAQ answers whether customer data trains AI models: "No. Datasite and Blueflame AI do not use customer data to train AI models." It is the only party on this board that answers that question either way.

Ask the same of any room you use

If a data room provider's terms do not answer it, ask in writing before the first upload, and keep the answer with the deal file.
